The Supergraphic Print Lab team will be installing a show at the the Durham Arts Council that opens on January 11 and ends on February 28th, 2019. The installation is called MEGAGRAPHIC and includes 140 prints of bold colorful designs organized in a grid.

Durham artists Tedd Anderson and Logan Britt will be teaching this workshop on creating and designing books. For the first part of the workshop Ted and Logan will let participants choose from several patterns to be used for the cover of their book. These patterns will then be screen printed by the participants. Carved linoleum stamps will also be available to use. After the designs are printed Logan and Tedd will demonstrate several non-adhesive book bindings including a folded zine structure, pamphlet binding and Japanese punch binding. participants will be able to leave with their own handmade and self-designed booklets. This is a beginner workshop. No experience necessary. All materials supplied.

There’s been a lot going on at the Studio since the winter. Here are some pics of recent activities.
We’ve been busy the last few months running live screen printing events and workshops. The following are some highlights. Stay tuned for a lot more printmaking action in 2018!

We’re now running OPEN screen print studio time! Come work in the shop for $10 every Sunday from 5pm – 9pm. First come first serve. Screen coating is $5 per screen. Bring your own screens, paper and ink. Squeegees, scoop coaters and other equipment supplied. Expert help available during the open studio.
