We had a ton of fun printing posters for the DC and Raleigh science marches. Thanks to all who came out – we’ll be doing it again even when there aren’t marches involved. Support science all the time!
We’ll be hosting a poster printing event on Saturday, April 8th from 5-8pm to make science-positive political posters which participants can display at the Washington DC or Raleigh March for Science events on April 22nd (or use anywhere else!).
This will be a lively printing event where attendees can learn the screen printing process and talk to fellow scientists and science enthusiasts about sciency stuff, or talk to the artists about artisty stuff.
At the event, there will be several pre-printed poster backgrounds (cool science illustrations) for you to choose from. Participants will then be able to print phrases on top of these, and mix-and-match background images with phrases.
Super G Print Lab will provide printing expertise, ink, paper, screens, and our awesome studio space. A suggested donation of $20/person to cover costs will be much appreciated.
Recently we hosted a group of students and artists from the Durham Art Guild’s Creative Mentorship program. Raj and I really enjoyed spreading the good word about screen printing. Thanks to Brandy and Chellie for the photos!

I am a Chapel Hill based graphic designer, musician, and screen printer. I have a bachelor’s degree in painting and printmaking from the University of New Mexico and work as a graphic designer at UNC-Chapel Hill. I teach screen printing at Super G Print Lab and DukeCreate Workshops, and print gig posters and cd covers in my spare time. My creative inspiration comes from music, pop culture, and mid 20th century suburban family life.
There are still spaces in the February 11th and 25th screen print workshops. Robby Poore will be the instructor for the 2/11 workshop. Go to the Workshops page for more details.
We’ll be running two screen print workshops in February on the 11th and the 25th. Go to our Workshops page for more details and sign up info.
